Women are emphasizing opportunity and equality moving forward. Women bear the brunt of childcare, homeschooling, and housework, putting them further at a disadvantage, which is likely why women are more concerned with economic and equality issues moving forward.

Nearly 9 in 10 women (86%) say job creation and poverty (85%) is very/somewhat important to them personally moving forward (vs 84% and 78% of men respectively), as well as gender equality (77% vs 68% of men), racial equality (81% women vs 72% men) and sexual harassment (78% women vs 67% men).

Methodology

This survey (Wave 13) was conducted online within the U.S. by The Harris Poll from May 20 – 22 among a nationally representative sample of 2,032 U.S. adults.
