Most people do not believe that professionals including healthcare providers should be allowed to refuse to provide services based on their conscience or beliefs, according to a recent HealthDay/The Harris Poll.

Researchers from HealthDay and The Harris Poll conducted a survey to examine current attitudes toward health workers and other professionals who reject patients based on conscience/beliefs.

According to the poll, 55% of people do not believe that any of a list of 7 occupations and professions should be allowed to refuse to provide services based on their conscience/beliefs.
