Methodology

This survey was conducted online within the United States by The Harris Poll during September 23 – October 13, 2021, among 938 U.S. children ages 8 to 17. Respondents for this survey were selected from among those whose parents agreed to let them participate in our surveys. This online survey is not based on a probability sample, and therefore, no estimate of theoretical sampling error can be calculated. Figures for age within gender, race/ethnicity, parents’ education, region, size of household, school location (urbanicity), and weekly internet usage, were statistically weighted where necessary to bring them into line with their actual proportions in the population. For more information on methodology, please contact Dami Rosanwo or Madelyn Franz.
